Getting started

Generate your first model in under two minutes.

Getting started

SolidMake takes plain-language prompts or reference images and returns parametric 3D models you can export as STEP, IGES, or BREP. This guide walks you through your first generation.

1. Sign up

Create an account at the sign-up page. The first user to register on a self-hosted deployment automatically becomes the administrator.

2. Describe your part

From the dashboard, open a new project and write a brief. Be specific about:

  • Overall dimensions and tolerances
  • Material and intended manufacturing process
  • Critical features (mounting holes, mating faces, datum references)

3. Generate, refine, export

Click Generate. SolidMake produces a parametric model. You can tweak any parameter and regenerate, or export directly to STEP.

Tip: include a target manufacturing process in your prompt (“CNC machined from 6061 aluminum”) for better DfM hints.
